Felixstowe to HoChiMinh

About This Project

On the 6th December 2013 Arbour Shipping Ltd were requested by another Freight Forwarder to quote for the shipment of ROV Parts (Remotely Operated Vehicle) for a drilling vessel berthed in Vietnam.
The cargo measured 2.55m x 2.55m x 2.86m and weighed in at 7’000kgs.
Originating in industrial city of Newcastle, we knew exactly who the manufacturer of the cargo was and what their requirements would be. We issued the quote along with our understanding of what the shipper would actually require and were happy to have our quote accepted. As we suspected the shipper then wanted the cargo collecting the next day and shipping urgently as the cargo was desperately required. Isn’t that always the case in December……
In this instance our usual site survey wasn’t practical due to time restraints; instead using our knowledge of this shipper we ensured the correct vehicle was placed to the loading facility to collect the cargo. The trailer brought the cargo to our loading facility in Felixstowe where it was offloaded and finally checked. The cargo was measured and weighed for safety before being loaded to 1 x 20’ Flat Rack Container. We had already arranged with the shipping line to have the special equipment released to us in Felixstowe and it was sat at our facility waiting for the cargo to arrive.
We had already prepared the export customs entry prior to the cargo arriving at Felixstowe in order to avoid any delays.
Overall yet another job well done by the Arbour Shipping team.
