Dubai to Tin Can Port, Nigeria

About This Project

As part of an ongoing project to Nigera we were requested to move a storage tank weighing in at 50 metric tonnes from Dubai, UAE to Tic Can Port, Nigeria.

We had previously moved phase 1 of this project in February 2017, this was the remaining item of said phase 1. As we knew the requirements from previous, this movement was very straightforward. One of our loacal projects staff visited the site to check the lifting points and access as the load site is very busy. Once this was all confirmed and a collection date arranged Arbour Shippping got on with the mundane task of arranging the Soncap Inspection and issueing of the Soncap Certificate.

Once all parties were co-ordinated the truck and crane were placed into the load site for the transport from Dubai to Jebel Ali Port. Due to the size of the cargo and the restrictions on the roads in UAE this movement had to happen at night. As a result there was much communication between ourselves, our subcontractors, Jebel Ali port and the shipping line. The cargo was collected on time and arrived alongside the vessel for direct loading to the vessel the same night.

From start to finish this job took less than 10 days, much to the clients pleasure.
